I need to buy "Photoshop for Dummies".  I spent all morning putting this simple banner together for a spot on a great blog: http://www.matissecolor.blogspot.com/

But I am happy with it.  I think it looks pretty good.

Bowling Ball Fountain

My husband is at it again.  I was wondering what he was going to do with the bowling ball he has been bringing home.  Well, here is another one!
This fountain consists of a bowling ball, a vintage green glass bowl, a vintage aluminum tray and a vintage metal casserole trivet.

It makes a wonderful tinkling sound when the water drops into the glass bowl.

It is fitted with a fountain pump that has an on/off switch. All of the pieces come apart for easy cleaning. The water is contained in the green glass bowl. There is no splashing.

The fountain is 14 1/2" high and 13 1/2" in diameter.

Start collecting vintage buckles from kid's coveralls and vintage dresses.  When you have enough, put them together with some big jump rings and this it what you have............a very unusual link necklace.  You will get plenty of compliments and questions about this great piece of jewelry!

Another Funky Lamp

This one started with a pewter teapot.  It sits on a wood toy part and a 1950s saucer.  The bark is a vintage nut bowl.  There are miniature cue balls for feet.  The lid is "blowing" off by means of a large spring.  There are Lite Brite pegs embedded in the teapot and when it is lit up the pegs glow and light spills out of the spring lifted lid. You can see it in the shop here.
